My Microweb Story

My IT story began in the autumn of 1995 when I received the key to the computer room from principal Mr Karáth at high school. From that day on, I spent a lot of time there.

Shortly after, I registered the “microweb.hu” domain name. Once I finished high school, I went on to study Technical Informatics at Dunaújváros College. An online store was the topic of my dissertation. Yet I turned to microwave internet and founded my first business, then I created Remicro Kft. from my last name and the word microweb.

I’ve always been a handyman type. I like to assemble and tinker, and to create something new from different materials. It was 2004, and one afternoon the guy next door – now a technical engineer in a factory – rang us and asked how he could get his home internet up to the mountain? He was about to move away from his home. That was the moment where the story of our company began, because we were able to solve this. One of my friends is an electrician and a radio club member, one of our relatives is the head of the local radio club. They helped me with this.

Microweb’s first aerial on the roof of our apartment building gave internet access to several people in the area. I still have this antenna today. Then came the district heating tower, and we kept expanding, installing and renting towers in more and more difficult places. I wish my company and You to be part of this success story. We’d welcome You to be our customers and partners. Let’s keep the Hungarian-owned internet service provider company going on for a long time and make use of our ever-expanding additional IT and security services.
