My Microweb Story

My IT journey began in the autumn of 1995 when the principal of my high school, Mr Karáth, gave me the key to the computer room. From that moment, I practically lived there.

Shortly after that, I registered the “microweb.hu” domain name. Once I finished high school, I went on to study Technical Informatics (Computer Engineering) at Dunaújváros College. An online store was the topic of my dissertation, but I eventually shifted toward microwave internet. First, I launched my own business, then I created Remicro Kft. from my last name and the word microweb.

I’ve always been a handyman kind of person. I love tinkering, fixing things, and creating something out of nothing. It was 2004, and one afternoon, the guy next door – now a technical engineer at a factory – rang our doorbell with a question: how could he get internet access from his home up to the hill where he was moving? That's where our company story began, because we were able to solve this. One of my friends is an electrician and a radio club member, one of our relatives is the head of the local radio club. They helped me make it happen.

Microweb’s first antenna, installed on the roof of our apartment building, provided internet access to multiple people in the neighbourhood. I still have this antenna today. Then came the district heating tower, and our network continued to grow. We kept expanding, installing and renting towers in more and more difficult places. I hope that You – our customers and partners – can be part of this journey. Join us, and let’s continue to support a Hungarian-owned internet service provider for many years to come, while taking advantage of our expanding IT and security technology services.
