Using free filtering software, we help children enjoy a safer online experience.
Do you have young children? You wouldn't let them walk across the street alone, so why leave them exposed online?
Summer vacation brings more free time for children – and while camps are great, the internet also opens up countless opportunities for entertainment, exploring the world, and even making new friends. In many ways, the internet is a true treasure trove.
Why does one in three mothers surveyed still see the internet as potentially harmful or unsafe for their children?
Parents naturally worry that their children may not yet fully understand how to navigate the internet, and with half of 7-10 year-olds – and even one in ten under sevens – using it alone, this concern is completely understandable. The best approach is for children to take their first steps online together with a parent, who can guide and show them what to explore and what to avoid, while continuing to keep track of their activity. Talk openly, explore the many possibilities together, and build trust along the way. Of course, constant supervision isn't always possible – and it doesn't need to be. Today, we can offer free, easy-to-download filtering software that monitors your child's online activity 24/7, even across multiple devices, giving both parents and children peace of mind.
Do you worry that unexpected, frightening, or adult content could harm your child's emotional development?
With filtering software, you can choose what content your child can and cannot access online. It's a good idea to talk through these settings together, which can also help strengthen trust between you. The programs show the search terms your child uses and let you block content that isn't appropriate or wanted. They also keep a log of visited websites on the computer, so you can review and filter anything unsuitable afterwards. Certain websites can be blocked on mobile devices as well. If your child tries to bypass the filters, the software will notify you by email, keeping you informed and giving peace of mind.
Do you worry that spending too much time in front of the computer could lead your child to become addicted to the internet?
With filters, you can set how much time your child can spend online and create time limits by week, day, or hour.
Do you worry that your child's social behaviour or habits might change for the worse, or that they could share private information and put themselves at risk?
The filter shows which social networks your child uses, what photos they post, and what information they share about themselves. Even better, your child can approach you with trust, and these decisions can be made together. With the software, you can prevent them from sharing sensitive personal information online – including phone numbers, home addresses, email addresses, or even social security numbers. By explaining the risks involved, your child sees this not as a restriction, but as an opportunity to take responsibility. The system also allows supervision on mobile devices, so settings can be adjusted not just at home, but while on the go. As the internet becomes more widespread, more parents are protecting their children's online activity with guidance and filtering software. Are you already one of them? In line with this*, since 1 July 2014 we have made free filtering software in Hungarian available on our website, allowing all our subscribers (parents) to download and use it at no cost to help ensure the safe use of the internet by minors.

Additional Information
*You can also find information about child protection on the Internet Hotline page of the National Media and Infocommunications Authority (Nemzeti Média- és Hírközlési Hatóság), where you can report illegal or harmful content for minors found online. Any of the recommended filtering software can now be downloaded from the links above, then installed and used free of charge by our current customers. Filtering software is a useful tool that complements – but of course cannot replace – parental supervision. With its help, you can support your child in developing healthy habits, enjoying a balanced online experience, and using the internet responsibly and safely. In addition, the Child Protection Internet Roundtable, operating alongside the National Media and Infocommunications Authority, has issued a recommendation for the safe use of the internet by minors, which can be accessed at the following link: szuroszoftver_ajanlas.pdf
